For landowners and biologists, the Matrice 4T acts as a precision census tool. Traditional "spotlighting" from a truck is limited by line-of-sight; a drone sees everything.
Counting Accuracy: Pilots typically fly at 300–400ft in a grid pattern. The high-resolution thermal camera ensures that even bedded deer in thick cover are counted, leading to ~80% accuracy in population surveys. We load in your property line so we have a live view through the camera of what is ACTUALLY on your property.
Buck Identification: While thermal shows the body, the 4T’s zoom camera (up to 112x hybrid zoom) allows the pilot to "punch in" from hundreds of feet away. At this distance, the drone can often identify antler points to distinguish bucks from does.
In deer recovery, the goal is to locate a downed or wounded animal that a hunter cannot find on the ground. The Matrice 4T excels here by using a "Search and Verify" workflow.
Thermal Detection: The 640x512 thermal sensor detects the heat signature of a deer against the cooler ground. Because the 4T is significantly quieter than previous models, it can fly at lower altitudes without spooking a wounded animal that may still be alive.
The "Spotlight" Integration: Specialized kits often include a high-lumen spotlight. Once a heat signature is found, the pilot can "drop the sun" on the location to provide a visual for the recovery team on the ground.
